ABOUT id2:
The id2 Regional Training Camps bring together the nation’s top youth players for four days of competition, evaluation and fun. Players are identified to participate in the id2 Regional Training Camps as a result of a year-long scouting program. An invitation-only event, the id2 Regional Training Camps also seek to identify and develop the country’s best players for inclusion in US Soccer’s youth national team programs. US Soccer Youth Development Program staff are in attendance at the id2 Regional Training Camps to monitor players’ performances.

Once players arrive at an id2 Regional Training Camp, US Club Soccer covers all player expenses. Players' training uniforms, balls, bags and other equipment are provided by Nike, the Official Equipment Supplier of US Club Soccer.

 

Martin Alba A true leader within the Midwest Wings Soccer Club. Martin had a major impact on our team reaching the Illinois State Cup Final with his amazing ability to keep possesion of the ball and his perfect passing.  He has earned the respect of every player in the Wings Club who look to his leadership both on an off the field.  He is an incredible player and an amazing young man. Martin went to the ID2 training last month (November 2009) in Frisco, TX where the coaches in the program were very encouraging to him stating he is ready for the National Team Pool and with more work has the chance to be the best of the best in today's game. Last year Martin got a head start training with the Chicago Fire Academy and as he approaches U16 that time will surely come for Martin.  It is the desire of this club to be sure Martin makes it to the professional level or D1 Top College Level and we know it takes an entire community to encourage Martin and be sure he keeps his High School Grades perfect!  It is an honor and a joy to have developed a player in our club and to see him thrive at his caliber.  Great job Martin, you are the example of what can be accomplished when you stay the course!

Christian Henock - Left Most coaches in Illinois know Christian as the top U13 player in the state of Illinois and it is not an accident.  He is the leader of our U13 team by work ethic, example, results, and attitude.  With Christian - and the incredible hard work of the Midwest Wings Coaching Staff, and head Coach Bill Dekker, there is never a wasted day.  Top level training for a player who has the ability to commit and thrive in it helps create the best of the best and Christian is that.  His goals are to reach the MLS and hopes to reach the full sided Chicago Fire Academy team at U15 and reach professional levels.  He has the support of his family, club, teammates, and opposing teams in the top Illinois Division of soccer.  With all that along with his attitude Christian will make it! George Hudiczius -  Right George has an amazing commitment to competition and thrives in the environment.  He works incredibly hard and is a natural leader which helps breed the environment we need to stay on top.  The loyalty to the Wings program is never in doubt and as a result he has one focus, training, competing, and striving to be the best he can be.  He is one of many players in the Wings program who thrive, his advantage is he never wastes a day of training or leading in competition.
